A leading international school wanted to transform its approach to education through a more active learning approach for students.
Together with school management and internal change catalysts, we gathered a group pf pilot teachers from different grades (mid school, elementary, kindergarten) to work on a new approach combining project-based learning and design thinking. First, we developed joint vision and had them go through a personal design thinking experience on “teacher wellbeing” they them shared with all teachers. Then we trained them “hands on” on how to design and deliver projects, went through various feedback loops among teachers and with students, and coached them during implementation. Students came up with amazing products such as a collaborative novel on their dream city of the future or new proposals for better use of urban green spaces.
Based on the results, we developed guidelines for further roll-out throughout all grades.
